John Philip Beck Kentucky Rifle (Lancaster County, PA) Third Example
This is an exact duplication of a J.P. Beck rifle. A photo of the original Beck can be found as the first thumbnail in the gallery below the main image of my recreation.
I shot this rifle for over 30 years, and it never needed anything other than cleaning and oiling, and I shot with three gun clubs!
I retired it for one year, then brought it out and recut the barrel to shoot again. Perhaps I'll get another 30 years out of it?
The Beck rifles hold better for most shooters than any other style of longrifle.
