This is a recreation of a J.P. Beck rifle known as the Lion Carved Beck. I have built this rifle four times. I had the pleasure of viewing the original rifle in the personal collection of the late Joe Kindig Jr. in York, PA. Mr. Kindig believed this rifle to be an example of Beck's pre-Revolutionary work, based on the double headed eagle inlay, a german design trait, along with the British Rampant Lion carving. Having my first order for this rifle, I visited Mr. Kindig to examine the rifle to ensure I got the lion carving correct.
